Another wonderful session all wrapped up.. and it is a favourite!

These guys were seriously up for anything.  When Theresa had mentioned that she would love to get their photos done at the breathtaking Dunvegan Bridge.. I was over the moon excited! If you have ever been up here to Northern Alberta, and have had the pleasure of travelling through the Peace River valley.. at any spot you can cross it, you know it is truly a sight to be seen.  So so so gorgeous.  In fact, I believe this may be the only suspension bridge that Alberta has to offer!  Such a beautiful spot.

It was such a joy to photograph this family in a spot that is near and dear to them!  Special locations make photo shoots that much more meaningful, don’t you think?  Thank you Pennoyer Family!! xo

Yes yes yes!

I am soooo excited to finally be getting these images up.  This was such a wonderful wedding, one I will never forget.  When I think of these two, I think of love.. tenderness and the truest of friendships I have ever witnessed.  I think I can honestly say that they are without a doubt, best friends.

Their wedding took place in the small northern town of Manning, Alberta.  Such a lovely little community.. with beautiful scenery and wonderful people.  The drive from Grande Prairie was stunning!  We were lucky and enjoyed gorgeous weather for most of the day, and even though the rain decided to make an appearance during portrait time.. we made the most of it and pulled out the umbrellas!  ..which turned out to be some of my favourites.

I am going to let the pictures tell the rest of this story.. a story full of love, family and friends. xo

Well folks, I just finally wrapped up all of the finishing details on this amazing couple’s wedding.. and I realized I hadn’t yet blogged their engagement session.  Must do that before I blog their wedding photos now, don’t I? ..because anything else would just be backwards and wrong. ha ha!

I met these guys at this fabulous location back in July, on the most incredible evening.  The sky was just beautiful, there was a storm moving in.. just as the sun was setting, and it made for a most fabulous backdrop.  We really could not have asked for a better evening.

The soft colours in these photos will always be a favourite.. I have strived to reproduce it, but you just can’t compete with Mother Nature!  These two were so great.. and were up for anything.  They sure did make my job easy!

This is where I would normally say congrats on your engagement.. and that I am looking forward to your wedding! ha ha! ..but yes, that would be wrong and backwards as well.  So, we will just sign off with CONGRATS ON EVERYTHING! ..and sorry I am a bad blogger. hee!

It is no secret that fall is my absolute favourite season.  I wish we could live somewhere where fall lasted all year long.  There perfect temperatures, my favourite clothes, cuddling up in blankets and sipping chai tea lattes all day.  Oh yes, I could handle that.

Here are some images from my recent pins on pinterest.. I thought they would look lovely all together as a group. Loving the pops of teal and peachy tones.. so pretty!

Jenny Morgan - These are always so inspiring!! Thanks so much for this wonderful little corner of the web!!ReplyCancel

Every now and then it is important to step outside of your comfort zone, and do something a little bit different. Don’t you think?  One evening, I had the urge to do just that.

In a whirlwind of inspiration, Laine and I were out the door and headed out to find the perfect location.

I wanted to experiment with light.  I had this vision of glitter on her face, catching bits of light.  Light from my distant headlights.  We waited and waited and waited until the sun met the horizon.. and it was magical.  It took a little bit of experimenting.. but that is part of the fun right?

I absolutely love how this little mini shoot turned out!
