dearest someday » for the dreamers, the free spirited and the adventurous

Honestly you guys.. where has the time gone?  I have been trying to find my way back to blogging and back to everything creative.. which I am thinking I have finally done!  I know I know.. this is my first post in ages, how can I say I am back blogging!?

Perhaps I can’t.  All I know is, I feel differently.. I have taken some ‘time off’ ..no, there really is no such thing, but I have finally had the chance to refocus and get inspired and excited again!

I have so much to share, so many thoughts to get out.  I can tell you this.. there are exciting things happening here behind the scenes, and I am finally feeling the confidence to take my business where I want it to go.

So vague hey?  Gosh.. ha ha!  So many thoughts, I have to start somewhere!  Seriously, my brain is in way too many directions.. I am having a hard time keeping up! ha!  But I am back.. in all possible ways!  The above collage is from my instagram feed.. I have been a bit more successful keeping that updated!  Feel free to follow along @dearestsomeday ..been sharing some behind the scenes sneak peeks from my recent trip to Louisiana for the Three Nails Photography workshop!  SO excited to share more about that.. the whole experience has left me so inspired!!

Sooo.. anyone read this thing anymore?  If so, I have a question.. what is the best way to keep up with blogs these days?  I feel so out of the loop! Help! hee!

xoxo

Jessica Wilson - I keep the blogs I love to read on my bloglovin…because it’s the easiest way to find them quickly. When I am not inspired by one anymore I simply remove it. I also try to keep up with some through instagram because so many are on there so much. Bloglovin is how I knew you had a new post, and I was excited because you’ve always inspired me!ReplyCancel

Michelle - I am still old fashioned, with blogs in my favorites or bookmarks. As Mom of 3 (two teens!) plus a zillion emails from elsewhere, I simply check blogs when I have a minute. Love the photography, miss seeing the vignettes and creative endeavors (but I absolutely understand how the months fly by. It is ridiculous!)ReplyCancel

Another wonderful session all wrapped up.. and it is a favourite!

These guys were seriously up for anything.  When Theresa had mentioned that she would love to get their photos done at the breathtaking Dunvegan Bridge.. I was over the moon excited! If you have ever been up here to Northern Alberta, and have had the pleasure of travelling through the Peace River valley.. at any spot you can cross it, you know it is truly a sight to be seen.  So so so gorgeous.  In fact, I believe this may be the only suspension bridge that Alberta has to offer!  Such a beautiful spot.

It was such a joy to photograph this family in a spot that is near and dear to them!  Special locations make photo shoots that much more meaningful, don’t you think?  Thank you Pennoyer Family!! xo

Yes yes yes!

I am soooo excited to finally be getting these images up.  This was such a wonderful wedding, one I will never forget.  When I think of these two, I think of love.. tenderness and the truest of friendships I have ever witnessed.  I think I can honestly say that they are without a doubt, best friends.

Their wedding took place in the small northern town of Manning, Alberta.  Such a lovely little community.. with beautiful scenery and wonderful people.  The drive from Grande Prairie was stunning!  We were lucky and enjoyed gorgeous weather for most of the day, and even though the rain decided to make an appearance during portrait time.. we made the most of it and pulled out the umbrellas!  ..which turned out to be some of my favourites.

I am going to let the pictures tell the rest of this story.. a story full of love, family and friends. xo

Well folks, I just finally wrapped up all of the finishing details on this amazing couple’s wedding.. and I realized I hadn’t yet blogged their engagement session.  Must do that before I blog their wedding photos now, don’t I? ..because anything else would just be backwards and wrong. ha ha!

I met these guys at this fabulous location back in July, on the most incredible evening.  The sky was just beautiful, there was a storm moving in.. just as the sun was setting, and it made for a most fabulous backdrop.  We really could not have asked for a better evening.

The soft colours in these photos will always be a favourite.. I have strived to reproduce it, but you just can’t compete with Mother Nature!  These two were so great.. and were up for anything.  They sure did make my job easy!

This is where I would normally say congrats on your engagement.. and that I am looking forward to your wedding! ha ha! ..but yes, that would be wrong and backwards as well.  So, we will just sign off with CONGRATS ON EVERYTHING! ..and sorry I am a bad blogger. hee!

It is no secret that fall is my absolute favourite season.  I wish we could live somewhere where fall lasted all year long.  There perfect temperatures, my favourite clothes, cuddling up in blankets and sipping chai tea lattes all day.  Oh yes, I could handle that.

Here are some images from my recent pins on pinterest.. I thought they would look lovely all together as a group. Loving the pops of teal and peachy tones.. so pretty!
